Planning for my Humidifier Commercial

Props

There will be only about three props used within my commercial. Since my commercial is about humidifiers, the main prop will be the Levolt Cool Mist Humidifier. I will also have tissue used as a prop. The tissue would be used in the scene showing how before having a humidifier, the actor was not able to breathe within their home so they had to blow their nose. I will also use air fresheners as a prop. It will be used in the scene where i explain that air fresheners did not work to make the home smell better before purchasing a humidifier. 

Costumes

There will be two costume changes within my advertisement. The first costume will be casual clothing (jeans and a shirt) and this costume will be used when the actor enters her home and in the general scenes. The second costume that will be used is the night time clothing (pijamas). This costume will used during scenes that are filmed when the actor is sleeping/going to sleep.

Schedule

On 10/21/2020, I researched the conventions that are in humidifier commercials.

On 10/22/2020, I started planning my commercial and decided on the props, costumes, schedule, location list, and backup plan for my product.

On 10/25/2020, I will complete my story board for my 30 second commercial.

On 10/28/2020, I will film and record all the scenes for my 30 second commercial. 

On 10/29/2020, I will edit and add all the finishing touches to my 30 second commercial.

On 10/31/2020, I will complete the research questions for my product.

Location List

My commercial will be filmed at my house. All scenes of the commercial will be filmed at my house. Since this commercial is about humidifiers, and humidifiers are mainly used in homes, my commercial will be shot at home.

Backup Plan

Since this commercial will be shot at home and I have all the equipment needed to produce this commercial in my home, there is really no need for a backup plan. But, one backup plan that I have created is for if my phone breaks. If my phone stops working or breaks between now and the time that I will start filming, I will use my mothers phone to film this commercial instead. Also, if my computer breaks between now and the time that I will start filming, I will use the computers at the clubhouse where I live.

 For my final task,I have finished the finalization process. I have called the stores that I am planning to film at to let them know that we will be coming in to film soon. I have confirmed all of my actresses for my opening sequence. I am still working on getting copyright rights for the music that i would like to use for my opening sequence. My parents have confirmed that they will be able to provide transportation for my actresses and I. We will begin shooting on the 24th of March. We should complete shooting on the same day as well. All of my actresses have confirmed that they will be present. I have completed my storyboard. I have also completed my script. Along with my shooting script. I have all the equipment ready for filming this opening sequence. I also have all of my editing gear ready to edit my opening sequence. Genre Research - Drama
