Editing Blog: Putting it all together
Editing Blog
To edit my commercial, i used iMovie. iMovie is such an amazing app so the editing process wasn't very difficult. I first had to offload all the clips from my phone to the computer. I used airdrop to transfer the videos from my phone to the computer. Once I did that, I aligned all of the scenes into the order that they should be in. Aligning the scenes took some time because I had to cut some of the scenes. It also took some time to fit all of the scenes into the 30 second time frame but i was able to do it. After doing that, i edited the scenes. I made some of the scenes black and white. I also made some of the scenes very bright to add the effect that the product makes the environment better. Next, i added transitions. I used multiple transitions but they were fast so i'm not sure if its very noticeable. Next, i did the voice over. It took quite some time to complete the voice over because I had to keep re-doing it. It took about 7 tries until the voice over was good. I had a script while reading the voice over so it wasn't too difficult. Next, i had to decide on what music to use. Luckily, iMovie already had some music built in so it wasn't hard to find sounds. There were many options but i finally decided on one. This music was 1 minute long so i had to cut it short. The total process of editing the commercial took about 3 hours. The commercial came up to 30 seconds. Once i finished, I rewatched the commercial to make sure it was good. Then i saved it onto my computer.
