Filming Blog for my Music Video

 Filming Blog

I started to film my music video on November 28th. The star of my music video was one of my close friends, Emily Fleurenor. For my music video, I provided all of the props and costumes. I filmed my music video on my iPhone 11 camera. When I was filming my music video, I didn’t really do things in order. I filmed each scene for 1 minute so that when editing, I could pick and choose which scenes to use without having to worry about length. I did about 7 different scenes in total. Four out of seven of the scenes were filmed at my clubhouse. Two of the scenes were filmed inside of my mothers car. And the last scene was filmed by a tree outside of my house. We encountered a few problems while filming. For starters, we started to film at around 5pm. We thought that we would have enough time to get everything filmed with sunlight but, the sun sets at around 6pm. Therefore, we had to film a few scenes with no sunlight, and I had to use my flash so that my actor would be visible. Another problem was that my actor didn’t know the lyrics. I used another phone for her to read the lyrics off of but, it didn’t work too well. We also didn’t have enough time for her to actually learn the lyrics due to the fact that the sun was going to set in one hour. Another problem was that my cameras quality wasn’t too great in the night time. But, we slightly solved this problem by using the other phones flashlight. Overall, shooting this music video was a fun but stressful experience. It was also a great learning experience.
