On October 31st i filmed my commercial. The star of my commercial was one of my close friends, Miesha Crooks. She came over to my house and we started filming at around 2:30. I provided the costumes for all the scenes and the props such as the humidifier and the air fresher.  To film, I used my iPhone 11 camera. The first scene was filmed at my door. We encountered a problem because her little sister wanted to be in the commercial so she jumped into our shoots. But, we fixed the problem by telling her that she was a co-director. We finally got the perfect take for scene 1 after 6 tries.  I filmed this scene as a long shot scene and I slightly panned the camera but its not very noticeable. For scene 2, it was filmed in a bedroom on a bed. We encountered a problem with lighting because the scene was meant to be dark but my phone wasn't able to capture what was happening if i closed the blinds. So, we had to open the blinds a bit to shoot scene 2 even thought the scene was meant to be during the night. We finished filming scene 2 after about 5 takes. This scene was a mid shot scene and used low key lighting. When filming scene 3, i set up the humidifier on my book shelf. I put props around the humidifier to make it look nice and i used my hand held lamp and camera flash for high key lighting. I filmed scene 3 as a close up. Scene 4 was filmed at my door as well. We were not sure how to make the humidifier visible during the scene but we added another prop so that the humidifier was visible. This scene took around 4 takes because the door was opened too wide during the first 3 takes. During scene 5, we had to film this scene in the bed as well. My phone had died so I had to use my iPhone 8 plus to film this scene. Filming scene 6 was simple. I was showing the features of the humidifier and I only had to do 2 takes. The whole process took around 1 hour to film. It was a great experience to be in the directors chair.
