-What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?
During the opening sequence, the designer showed a multitude of titles. He first showed the studios the movie in produced in which was revolution studios. Then he showed the production companies which were RKO production and a Cube Vision production. He then showed who produced the film which was Steve Carr. He then showed the main characters name, then the name of the movie (which is Are we done yet) and then he showed the other characters and directors names within a span of 3 minutes and 21 seconds.
-What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?
The designer used animations throughout this title sequence. He designed the main characters as into animations. Then he made the animated main characters move around the screen and have go through things that will actually happen in the movie. Also the words are brightly colored and bolder so those images are prioritized as well.
- What connotations do these images carry?
These images carry a comedic connotation. The acts that the animations have to go through is actually funny and would probably cause the audience to laugh. It also adds a happy/positive connotation (in some scenes). In other scenes there is a negative connotation. You can see the negative connotation from the animated actors facial expression throughout the title sequence.
- How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?
This movie establishes a feeling of a drama genre. You can tell by the events happening during the title sequence. It also establishes a feeling of the comedic genre. Within the title sequence you some things happen and the audience would most likely consider it to be funny, especially children.
- What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?
The designer did an amazing job to make sure that the title sequence appealed to the right audience. He used animations which was perfect because the audience is mainly children/teenagers. The music also appeals to the target audience due to its tempo. He also used brightly bolded words when naming the people who were included in the process of making this film.
- How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques.
The designer used his animation software amazingly to produce this title sequence. The transitions when different titles came onto the screen was great and his editing techniques can definitely be seen/noticed by anyone in the audience.
