A Level Intro Blog
Hi, my name is Jheanelle Shand. I am currently in the eleventh grade. I am an intelligent, caring, and dependable person. I am now sixteen years old .Within 2022, I will be turning seventeen on January 16. I have two siblings, a little brother who is now eleven and a big brother who is at the ripe age of twenty one. I am originally from Jamaica but i moved to the US when i was nine years old. I play lacosse for my school. I previously played for the travel team but i wasnt able to do that this year. The main passion within my life right now is to be successful and to become a doctor some day by working hard and achieving my goals. I spend majority of my time at school but, when im not in school i spend time at work or studying/doing homework. I love to go shopping, hang out with my friends, go to the beach, and sleep. I go to Fort Lauderdale High School because it has the Cambridge program which is an amazing program. Almost all of my family members have taken Cambridge classes at some point in their life so, they really encouraged me to do Cambridge during high school. I am taking this class because it seemed interesting to me. When i was speaking to my counselor about my classes last year, he mentioned AICE media studies A level and the components of the class and i just knew that i had to take it. I love watching movies and tv shows, so to be in a class where we will be analyzing these films and breaking it down is amazing. At the end of this class, i will be able to watch all films and identify the different types of film techniques being used and that is so cool to me. This class is definitely one of the most interesting classes i am taking this year. Being on campus this year is definitely a switch from doing online last year. It is very nice to be able to see all my friends each and everyday but i definitely do miss being able to get food or take a nap at any time that I like at home. Hopefully i will become more used to doing in person this year. Other than that life is going great, and i cannot wait to continue learning the components of A level.
