Final Task: Title Design

Image
-The opening credits of my 2 minute opening sequence will appear in a neon pink, trebuchet font. It will swipe into the screen and appear for about 3 seconds.  It will them swipe out of the screen and then the next title will appear. This will happen for all of my titles. -My font will be Helvetica and it will be bold. It will " LOOK LIKE THIS". -The color will be neon pink. It kind of fits the vibe Violet gives off in the beginning of this movie. It will most likely  "LOOK LIKE THIS" -The size of my titles will be extremely big so that my audience will be able to read everything.  I will probably make the size around 48. I actually cannot put the size that i want in google blogs because it isn't available but on my editing software it is. It will most likely  "LOOK LIKE THIS".  -I will be putting a space between each letter so that it will be easier for the audience to read. It will also allow the audience to follow along easier. It will most likely ...

Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

This website is also an amazing website. It holds amazing information that will actually be really useful when I am making my 2 minute title sequence.  This website has 3 different sections. It has a title sequence section where you can watch the title sequence from various movies (different genres). It also gives an explanation of the title sequence along with an explanation of the movie. In the title sequence section of this website, you can choose for 6 different sections of film which gave me many different examples and ideas for my title sequence. Then there is the designer section which includes the names of the people who designed the title sequence in various different films. This is useful because you can use this information and see the other title sequences that a designer made which will give you insight on if they follow the same pattern in each title sequence. they produce. Then there is the studios section which giv...

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

The Art of the title is an amazing website. It provides great information to anyone trying to get an education on the title sequence in movies. I am looking at this website due to the fact that i have to produce my own 2 minute title sequence. I have to produce this 2 minute video for my Aice media class. On this website they show you the title sequence in a different genre movies. They then go on to write an explanation as to how the producer of the title sequence came up with the title sequence. They also provide videos of different title sequence from movies all the way back in the 50's to now. I learned about the thought process that goes behind title sequences. I also learn about the different ways in which directors produce title sequences. This website was very educational and i am happy to have found it. https://www.artofthetitle.com/feature/top-10-title-sequences-of-2020/

This movie is within the drama and romance genre. This movie was able to exquisitely use film production techniques to make it clear to the audience that these were the genres that the movie was produced within. In this film there are many close up angles to help capture the intensity of the actors feelings. in the film “A Star Is Born” many emotions are portrayed as anxiousness and hurt. The camera movement was to help capture the scene as if it was a real life experience for the audience. This movie was able to exquisitely use film production techniques to make it clear to the audience that these were the genres that the movie was produced within. The camera angles of the film helped the audience to see how the whole setting of how the protagonists acted throughout the movie. The angles were for the most part set a far to capture the whole reaction of the actors in the film. Genre Research: The Titanic

What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?  This movie is definitely within he drama/romance genre. You can tell based on the variety of film production techniques that they used which signaled to the audience that it was a drama/romance film. For instance, high angles, over the shoulder, and Dutch. In this film, they use these different shots and angles to emphasize different characters emotions and reactions. To add on, the film includes two and three shots including different subjects engaging in conversation, etc. For example, there was a scene of Jack holding Rose on the boat, standing behind her.  The director also used zoom and tilt movements on subjects to enhance the emotion of the scene. There were also many eye line matches between the lovers making it romantic and heart warming for the viewers. All of these examples made it clear to the audience that this film was within the drama genre,...

Genre Decision Blog

Image
Genre Decision       It took me a while to decide upon which genre I would choose to make my opening sequence. I did a lot of research. I watched an enormous amount of opening sequence in a variety of different genres. I then decided that I wanted to my movie to be an coming of age kind of movie. So, I have decided that the genre for my opening sequence will be mainly drama, along with comedy and romance.     This along sides with what my pitch is. My pitch is :" The daughter of a very wealthy man finds herself throughout the movie and leaves behind her monochromatic life and going on adventures against her fathers will. " I have envisioned this film already. There will be a lot of drama throughout it. The daughter will have arguments and confrontations with...

Genre Research: Drama

DRAMA Within this PowerPoint I analyzed different aspects within the drama genre of film production. I researched many different things within this PowerPoint. I wanted to find the most common types of film production techniques used within this genre.  Common types of camera angles and movements in this genre are zoom, pan, tilt, dolly etc. They use different types of shots to give a different effect to different scenes. For instance, to dramatize a situation directors will often zoom in on the subjects to get a clear view of their reaction. Also, to get a view of what the subject is doing, film makers will use a tracking shot adding effect to the scene. Furthermore, common shots used in this genre are long shots,...

My Pitch

Image
Pitch #1: A female athlete who is achieve many successes in life and is on the top of her game then finds out that she is pregnant. Pitch #2: The daughter of a very wealthy man finding herself and leaving behind her boring life and going on adventured against her fathers will.         I would be interested in making either film. I'm not much of a creative person so it was hard for me to come up with these topics. Once I finally came up with these pitches I started to envision myself producing them. For the first pitch I feel like it would be very interesting to produce. To have to pick out different costumes and props would be cool. Visiting different locations would be nice as well. The pitch is very interesting to me so filming it wouldn't even feel like a task assigned to me from school. Rather it would feel like I'm doing it for fun. I actually favor pitch number two more though. Pitch number two has a storyline that I feel like would be interesting all throughou...

Starting the Final Task

Image
Greetings, my name is Jheanelle Shand. I am currently in the 10th grade.  I am an intelligent, caring, and dependable person. For the final task, I have decided to work by-myself. I have chosen to work by myself for a multitude of reasons. For starters, I know what I want best. Some of my partners may not be able to understand the concepts that i might have in mind. So ultimately, if I work by myself i will be able to get the product that I most want with no hassle. Also, if I work by myself I have to ability to create any time schedule that I desire. Plus I am able to switch the time schedule at will. I also do not feel pressured to impress anyone, besides Cambridge, while filming/editing this film. I will be able to stick to the vision that I have and not have to change it due to any other opinions. Also, I generally work better by myself at times. I love having the ability to only depend on myself. It causes less stress, even though it is more work. I wil...
